Therapy a short walk from Holborn
Holborn and Bloomsbury are close neighbours of Farringdon. For many people here, the room is within walking distance, without needing to think about trains at all.
Bloomsbury in particular has a large community of students, researchers and university staff, alongside the lawyers, publishers, hospital staff and charity workers based around Holborn. These are often people who spend their days supporting others or under steady intellectual pressure, and who can find it hard to make time for themselves.
Support for students and academics
University can be a lonely and demanding place, whether you are an undergraduate far from home, a postgraduate working alone on a thesis, or an academic managing teaching, research and uncertainty about the future. People in these situations sometimes struggle with anxiety, perfectionism, low mood, homesickness or burnout.
University therapy services can be a valuable first port of call, but some people prefer to see a psychotherapist outside their institution, or want longer-term, open-ended support. Private therapy is one option alongside those services.
For professionals in Holborn
People working in law and other professions around Holborn often describe long hours, high stakes and a culture where showing strain feels risky. Therapy offers a confidential place to talk honestly about how things really are.
How I work
I am an integrative psychotherapist and a registered member of the BACP. I draw on person-centred, psychodynamic and CBT-informed approaches and work at a trauma-informed pace, so you can take your time. I see adults individually and couples.
The room in Farringdon is quiet, private and comfortable, a simple space where you can talk without interruption.

Questions
Coming from Holborn
I am a student. Can I see you as well as using my university's therapy service?
It is usually best not to see two psychotherapists at the same time, so we would talk this through in the initial consultation. Some students look for private therapy instead of, or after, their university service.
Do you offer early morning or evening sessions?
Appointment times vary; get in touch to ask about current availability.
Can I continue online during the holidays?
Yes. Wherever you are, we can switch to online sessions while you are away and return to the room in Farringdon when you are back.
Is there step-free access?
Please ask when you get in touch and I'll share the access details for the room.
